The Final Count Down

I am in the final 9 month of my pregnancy. I can’t believe our little Rocco Jay Milazzo will be here any day. I still am feeling great, although I am tired and the body is getting a little sore. I have weekly doctor visits and at the last one we did an ultra sound to make sure he is head down and ready to go. He is head down and boy can my pelvic bones feel it.

I have one more week at work and then I start working from home. I will be taking 4 months off of work which will be great so I can focus all attention on Rocco and getting a routine down. I am planning on breast feeding so that pretty much will be “the routine”.

Rocco’s room is just about ready to go. We are just waiting for his Batman cross stitch that his grandma is making him. She makes one for each grandchild. I can’t wait to hang it over his crib. Here are some pictures I took yesterday.

Meatloaf! No not the singer.

This turkey meatloaf is really healthy and good. It is a snap to make and is packed with great flavor. It has carrots, mushrooms and onions. We have made this a handful of times and I recommend it for anyone’s dinner table.

Tonight I used Trader Joes Egg Whites instead of the regular egg substitute. The last time I made it, I added finely chopped broccoli to it. You can add any vegetables to it and you won’t even tell it is loaded with vegetables. The recipe says to make two small ones, I just make one big one and the leftovers are used for lunch the next day.

Honey we’re baking in Ramekin’s.

"Popovers" This recipe came from Jared’s Mom and on the card it states “one of Jared’s childhood favorites.” She also gave us these ramekins for Christmas one year.

This is a nice and warm dessert for these cold winter nights. Put some butter and honey and even some cinnamon and sugar on the top and dig in. We also spread raspberry jam on them. Yummy!

4 simple ingredients you always have on hand = a great dessert. Paula Deen has the same recipe I used. Although I cut her recipe in half to make 4 ramekin's.

Christmas Routine Part Two – Check

As I was laying in bed awake around 3am, I came up with an idea that would send laughter around the Christmas tree.

Check it – part two!

Christmas Routine – Check

Growing up, all the cousins sang Christmas songs every year. Many of the songs were from the Sundance Kids. A dance group we all performed in for many years. Yes, even a show at Great America. This is one of my claim to fame stories.

Diana sent me this funny Elf Yourself link and I made one with all my nephews and niece. I sure am going to miss Christmas with you all. But if you could learn this routine, maybe we can perform it next year.

View the complete dance here. (only available till January 15th)
