White Family Reunion - Florida

I really did try to pick only a few pictures to show, but gosh there are so many good ones. We went to Florida to celebrate my Great Uncle Albert's 90th birthday. We also made it a White Family reunion. Not that I want to remind my Mom, but yes Stephen is missing from this awesome trip. Not sure he is off the sh*t list yet or not. Love you Stephen.

The trip was just that awesome. Started off flying with Auntie to Texas to pick up mom. But with classic TX weather our next flight was canceled and we had to stay the night. Good thing Mom lives there. Rocco and I hadn't been to TX since he was 4 months old. Rocco enjoyed a nice bath with Grandma bubbles. The next morning we were off and Rocco got to hang in the back with Grandma for a while and getting extra treats with that cute smile.

We landed, but without luggage. It was delivered hours later at the apartment, but our swim suits were needed ASAP to get in the water as soon as we got there. Faith, Austin, Stacie and the boys got there the day before and just missed the whole flights being cancelled. Rocco didn't have his swim trunks but that didn't stop him from getting in with Josiah. We all needed to dunk our heads under after the long delay getting there.

Uncle Albert's party was a success and the family teeshirts came out great. But to my mom's dismay, we did add some extra air-conditioning to the shirts. It was just too hot not to. But she wished we did it after the pictures.

Rocco has always wanted to smash his face into a cake. So what did he do with the left over cake the next day? Mom, can I please he said. I said sure. He did the count down and bam, cake face. He was so happy. Thanks to Moose for the extra push to get it real good.

A special thing my mom planned was a 2 hour ride in a swamp boat through the everglades. Not everyone was so excited about this, but it sure did turn out to be a blast. We had our own boat and did a 2 hour tour. It was so amazing how fast they went over such shallow water. We saw a few gators and after actually eat some for our first time. (and for me last time) We all deiced that if you wanted to punish a Shelley, drop them here near water that they can't swim in.

Other than that, it was beach, pool and more beach. We had fun with faith's underwater camera, we rented some standup paddle boards. Faith and I paddled them back to be returned and then realized how far we had to walk back with no shoes. Luckily we used our charm and asked the worker to please ATV us back to home. Score.

This trip was a success. So fun now that Faith, Austin, Brightin, Josiah and Rocco are getting older and they are remembering all these good times. Not only for me are these times special because I get to spend time with my family, but it makes me extra happy seeing Rocco spend time with his cousins.  This is what life is about.
