Rolling Rocco

Yep, it happened. I was hanging out with Rocco in his room while he did tummy time. I left the room to get something from the kitchen and 2 seconds later, of course while I wasn't there, he rolled over. I called Jared and told him to come look.

I then put Rocco back on his tummy and asked him to roll over a second time for the camera. As you will hear, he still isn't the biggest fan of tummy time.

I was just about to stop recording and ....Ta-Dah

There Is A Party Going On In My Cupcake

I made these the other day for a BBQ that I went to. They were a hit. I don't have a picture of the finished product; I added white frosting so you wouldn't see what you were about to bite into. But if you click on the recipe blog that I got this from, you can see a picture of what the inside looks like. These are very cool and I will defiantly be making them again.

Jared Said...

I have my mom hands. This made me smile. I love my mom's hands. I remember rubbing her fingernail in church while my head is lying in her lap. She has one fingernail that is curved because it got shut in a car door. Sometimes it is the small things that make you smile.

Correction, my sister called me and said she thought mom's finger was hurt with a bike spoke. So I called her to confirm, and yep, a bike spoke was the culprit.

Kiss of Life – 9 Years Married

Yesterday was our 9 year wedding anniversary. It was also our first trial run with Jared taking Rocco over to Santa Cruz to stay with Mimi. Mimi will be watching Rocco once a week and since I go back to work in one week, I want to get him used to not being with me all the time and for me to get ready for not being with him all the time. (sniff sniff)

The morning went pretty well. I picked up around the house, did a 4 mile run, stared at Rocco’s pictures, and then I picked him up at 12:00. Then we went to have lunch with Jared at Paradise Grill.

We ordered Jared a new wedding ring 2 weeks ago and I surprised him with it at lunch. I asked Jared to marry me. I expressed all my wonderful feelings about Jared and then pulled out the ring. Of course he said YES!

Since we went out to a nice lunch we did a simple dinner. Yep we had grilled hot dogs for dinner. Tonight we are going to see Fleetwood Mac. And Jared has the next 4 days off, doesn’t get much better than this.

Tonight On The Milazzo's...

This is what I watched tonight. I am a lucky lady.

Rocco is just the sweetest thing. He is 3 ½ months now. He is such a happy boy. He smiles all the time and loves his baths. He is grabbing toys and shaking them. Although sometimes he shakes them a bit to close to his face and ends up hitting his forehead. He likes to pull blankets and burp cloths up to his face and try to get them in his mouth.

Rocco is a big talker and it is so fun to hear him talk. Jared and I just look at each other and smile. It is the best sound in the world. Everyday is a great day when you can kiss and hold Rocco.

P.S. There was even a taco birthday cake made for my mom one year. Need to find that picture.

Go Skate or Go Home

Rocco had his first day at the skate park to celebrate Jared, Todd and Mariana’s birthday. It was a beautiful day filled with, BQ, great weather and good friends. Yes, still hitting the skate park at 35 years young.

Gramps Fills The Piggy Bank Big Time

John has been collecting change for a couple of years now and recently brought it over to add to Rocco's piggy bank. These bottles were packed solid with coins. If we can keep Rocco’s little hands out of these coins for his trips to the candy store, it should give him a great start for a very cool car when he is 16.

3 Months Old

Rocco is three months old today. He is such a wonderful joy in our house. Jared and I are truly blessed.

Rocco is learning new things everyday. He just started to grab toys and is trying to put them in his mouth. He is talking to us all the time and loves to sing back to me when I sing to him. Tummy time is still not his favorite and I tell him that I wouldn’t make him do this if it wasn’t good for him. It is doctor’s orders.
