Rocco got his first real skateboard from Dad last month. He just thought it was so cool that now he has one like Dad's. So of course they set out for their first session in the court. And yes, all the animals love to come out and watch.

Needs A Little Water

Here is Rocco watering the few items left from last year's garden. We did not do a garden this year, because we don't know where the house cards will land. But this boy lands right in my heart! Love my helper.

House Contributions

Rocco has his first house contribution. (aka chore) It is making sure the cat dishes are full of cat food. He needs to make sure he watches them and as they get low to fill them up with love, I mean food.

Easter In the Garden

We have spent a few Easters at Pop's cousin Charlie's house. Charlie and Teri have a beautiful house and garden and are always very welcoming to their house. I just can't get enough of their wonderful garden. I love watching Rocco play in such a wonderful, beautiful and happy place. I am thankful for their generosity and hospitality.

Rocco's basket this year included a bug catcher, net, paints, a bath submarine toy and chocolate covered gram crackers. It also included as it has every year, the batman eggs filled with coins for his piggy bank.

Eggs, Pizza, Mimi and Pop

Mimi and Pop came over to have pizza and color some easter eggs. I told Rocco that we were going to dye easter eggs and he said, "Die eggs??" I then changed dye to color.

Reach for the Sky

Rocco's first kite! This owl flew so high and looked beautiful in the sky. The smiles on Rocco's face and the excitement of the flight was so fun to watch.

Cement Boat- Cement Memories

We took a chance and went to the beach on a day that might just bring rain. But we did not get rain, we got beautiful blue skies and wonderful memories. Rocco got to see the cement boat in Santa Cruz for his first time. He asked many times over and over why the boat is stuck there. He was really fascinated with it. We had a great time walking along the shore and taking in all the days beauty. Family days are cement memories that will last forever.

First Official Play Date

Jared and I dropped Rocco off for his first (and ours) official play date at the Hawkin's house. (aka Allison's house) Jared and I thought, wait, what are we going to do? So we went to lunch and ate at one of our young love spots to eat, Taiwan in Willow Glen. We used to eat there at least 4 times a week during their lunch specials back in the early 90's. We would gather up enough change to pay the bill and leave a 2 dollar tip. Somewhere around $12.

We talked about Rocco and other great things and then went to Toy R Us to get some things for Rocco's Easter basket. After two long hours (ha ha) we went to pick up Rocco. He had a great time painting, playing doctor (uh ho) and exploring in Allison's room.

Skateboard Push - Mom Move Out of My Way

Here is Rocco and Jared riding around on Jared's skateboard. It was a cold and rainy day, but when the rain stopped for just a little bit we headed outside for some fun. We ended up coming in just in time for the hail/rain started again.

Rocco learned the knee push for the first time. He also learned that Mom is going to be right there to get it all on camera.

What I love about the video:

1. The first 30 seconds of Rocco's pushing, the pushes are so small

2. The animals and how they like to hang out in the court with us
