I Am Bigger

Rocco got another medal at Jill's the other week. I told him when he got another medal that we would go ride the train. (sometimes the light rail is aka the train) So we went on a Friday and rode the train up a couple of stops and back. But wait, Rocco wanted to do it all again; so yes we did the same path twice.

I really enjoy fall and the change of season. I noticed these beautiful trees by the train station and told Rocco to go stand next to one of them. I love these pictures. They tell me a story of a boy getting "bigger." I hear Rocco tell me that his train is bigger, his feet are bigger, his hands are bigger. The moral of this story is, yes Sheryl your little boy is getting bigger.

A Place of Love

Pop and Mimi watched Rocco while Jared and I did a few things in Santa Cruz. Rocco really enjoys his time there and Pop and Mimi enjoy time with Rocco. I enjoy hearing about things they do, traditions they are starting and memories that will last a life time.

Things that I hear about during Pop and Mimi visits
  • Gooseberries
  • Bella kisses
  • Clocks
  • Playing at Mimi's office desk
  • Acorns on the deck
  • Pop's fun toys or should I say automobiles

Really Useful

That is right, the Thomas costume is really useful because Rocco wore it for the second year in a row. My little Thomas is so cute. He wore his costume 4 different place this year for Halloween. First was my work party, then we met Allison in Campbell, Mimi and Pop took Rocco to a Santa Cruz school carnival and last but not least there was Halloween night with the neighbors.

Thomas is a great costume. It was so fun to watch all the kids get excited when they saw Thomas. You could hear them tell their parents, Look there is Thomas.

Halloween was fun this year. There was lots of fun parties and it was our first official trick or treat that consisted of more than two houses.

Grandma, I Don't Want You To Go

My mom came to visit last month, just before Halloween. It happened to fall on a weekend that Jared would be out of town with Pat. It was nice to have one on one time with my mom. We went for a walk around Almaden Lake while Rocco rode his bike. This ended up being Rocco's longest and farthest bike ride yet. I would say around 2 miles and just under 1 hour. He did great.

We had a great time making sugar cookies for Rocco's first time. He really enjoyed rolling out the dough and selecting the next shape to cut out. Once they were all cooked, Rocco started decorating. It was fun to watch him experiment with frosting and sprinkles.

When Grandma was leaving, Rocco told her he didn't want her to go. This made my mom happy. Rocco defiantly did great with this trip. Grandma got lots of snuggles in.

Should I Be A Dinosaur?

Pop and Mimi got this costume for Rocco last year at a garage sale along with the Thomas costume. The dinosaur was too big for Rocco last year and Thomas ended up winning the costume selection. Rocco pulled out the dinosaur a few days before Halloween and we tried it on. It fit like a charm. Actually, if there was a few more months to go, Rocco might be too big for it.

So this year he had choice. Do you want to be Thomas or a Dinosaur? Rocco looked so cute in this custome. He tried it on a few times and ran around the house "roaring." But was it the final costume Rocco wore?

I Can See Everything

Jared brought home Rocco a magnifying glass. Rocco then started running around looking for things to see. He checked out Daktari, bugs, leafs and flowers. I love how when ever he was looking at something he would hold the glass right up to his face. I kept telling him he had to hold it away from his face a little bit. I then told him to hold it to his face while I took some pictures. I love these.
