First Day of Kindergarten
Well the face says it all, just a little nervous on the first day of Kindergarten. He was excited about going to school with the neighborhood kids, but that still didn't remove all the nerves. It was great that we saw Thomas and Mason while walking to school. I think it helped him forget about his nerves for a bit. So it was just a few tears while waiting in line for class and when I picked him up it was all smiles. He loved it and really like his teacher Mrs. Pereira. He is going to Sequel Elementary.
And this is just a funny picture I had to post. It was Tanner's birthday party on the first day of school. It was at a pool and Rocco found these flippers. He wore them the whole time swimming. He even wore them during cake.

This Is the Red Rider Here
A boys dream come true. His very own BB gun. Boy was he happy! I just love his smile below. What I love even more is his demonstration of the gun. You can tell he watches reviews of things by the way he sets up his video. I could and do watch this over and over (wait, start it over, is it over?). Love him.

Shelley's In the House
My family came to visit sunny California and it was a prefect way to end the summer. Everyone stayed at Stephanie's house in PG and then one day we did sailing in Santa Cruz.
I had just flown back from a work trip in Boston and drove straight to Stephanie's to join the fun. Rocco loved the eye mask I saved for him from my red eye trip there. He almost wore it the whole way to Auntie's house. He thought it was so cool. The house was filled with people and dogs. We did walks to the beach and roasted some hot dogs for dinner.
Josiah and Rocco had a great time around the fire. Josiah gave Rocco a hair wrap to keep his hair out of the food. They were having so much fun. Oh the things that happen to you when you are the youngest one. :)
Sailing was a great time because it is such a great time to relax, chat and spend quality time together. It was was perfect.

Kisses from Mimi
Mimi and Pop were staying at their friends house and Jared and Rocco went for a visit. Rocco got lots of kisses and hugs from his Mimi. With this kid, you just can't seem to get enough in. You always want more.

Yearly Camping
We had another successful camping trip this year. We changed location due to the lack of water that California has been receiving. Big Sur just didn't have enough water for us water lovers. We camped at American River Resorts in Northern California. The American river was cold, but I loved it. We went river rafting for Rocco's first time. He loved it. He was right up in the front of the boat leading the way. He was also the only young kid to jump in the water any chance he could get.
There was a fishing pond right below our camp site. It was the hit of the trip. This is where the kids spent most of their time. I don't think the fish thought this was a good idea. Just about everyone caught fish and the young kids couldn't get enough of hanging out the big kids.
This was our biggest group yet and everything went smooth. The food was excellent, the friends were a blast and the memories will last forever.
