Another great trip to Tahoe with the O'Neill's. Rocco really enjoyed sledding and even wanted to go down the hill by himself. Which made for a fun game of catch Rocco at the bottom before he slides all the way onto the ski slope. It was probably more of a thrill for Mom and Dad to catch him than for him to go down by himself.
It was a fun time with lots of activities and smiles. Rocco did end up getting sick the last day and half. He spent most the night and next day in bed with fever and the chills. Not only did he sleep most of that time, he slept almost the whole way home and then snuggled on the couch for the next 5 hours. It was a bad cold but he was a trooper.
We made a stop by Uncle Stephen's house on the way to Tahoe. Rocco got to ride a horse for his first time. I just love these pictures of him and the horses. It reminds me of my family photos and my Grandpa Shelley's ranch. We also got to spend time with Auntie and Moose. I love family!
Found this cute idea for valentines day. A special message that leads to a little treat. A little idea that filled my valentine with a big smile. He just loves his chocolate cake.
Boy oh Boy, my little one is not so little anymore. There is a big difference from 3 and 4. Riding a bike with no training wheels, riding his bike down big hills, going to preschool, learning to read, huge vocabulary, jumping over waves without holding hands, watches big boy cartoons and doesn't miss a thing; although that is nothing new. He is just such an old soul and so big for his age.
My mom came into town the week before his birthday and took him on one of his favorite things, a TRAIN! We sat where we always do, right behind the engine. While waiting for the train we found this spot with old parts. Rocco could have spent all day here. He made me and Grandma gather wood so he could fill the fire box. He touched every little part he could. He was in heaven.
After that train we had a small family dinner and some cake. Dad bought Rocco these cool rockets and they were a hit. He also got a pop gun from Grandma that he wanted so bad from the train store. Mom, Dad and Mariana had a big surprise for Rocco. If you asked Rocco what he wanted for his birthday it was always a new Santa Fe. He was so excited when he opened it.
The following weekend was his big party at June Bug's Gym. It was a great place for the kids to run around and be active. We made a rocket cake and some pizza pinwheels for snacks. I turned crayon piggy banks into rocket piggy banks for a party that was out of this world.
