We Love Papa

I am very blessed to have had Papa in my life. I only knew one of my Grandpa’s and he past away when I was 8. My mother’s father past away when she was 16 years old, so I never got a chance to meet him.

I enjoyed listening to Papa’s stories; they always included a smile and a laugh. I admired his kind heart and his hard working ways. Our house is blessed with many things that Papa made with his talented and strong hands.

Jared tells me wonderful stories about Nana and Papa. His love is true and strong for his grandparents and I knew why from the very beginning. Their love is true love. It is a wonderful and loving relationship that shines for all to see. They are our role model for staying together and working together through all the life’s journeys ahead.

I will always remember what Papa said to me on our last visit, “I'll love you forever.” I love you Papa and thanks for being my Papa. Grandparents are the best.

We love you Nana, keep strong.

Enjoy the Sounds of Rocco

Rocco is finding his voice more and more each day. Here is a clip of some moments I caught in action. I love the last part that features his first official laugh that occurred just today. He does this new stop and stare thing now when he see the camera. He is not sure if he should look at me or the camera. I guess this comes with the daily pictures I take.

Boy do I love my Rocco Jay.

Once and Only Once

I found this cute outfit in the closet. Glad I found it when I did, looks like he will only be wearing this once. After some milk, it doesn’t really fit that well anymore.

But a nice full belly sure puts a beautiful smile on this boy.

Bunnying Around Still

Yes, I know Easter was yesterday, but I just couldn’t resist. When we got home yesterday from Santa Cruz, Rocco was so tired I couldn’t complete my Easter Photo Shoot. The little one could barely keep his eyes open. He slept all the way home, we got home around 4pm and he slept from 5:00 to 6:30. I tired to keep him up for an hour or so before his 7:30 bedtime, but I couldn’t keep him awake. So down he went for the night after eating. He slept till 1am and then woke up again at 5am. Yes than then down again at 7am. He is such a big sleeper.

I even looked online today looking to see if your baby can sleep too much. They say it is fine and to enjoy it while it last. We didn’t even get to give him his bath last night, so we did it tonight and he is out like a light. Such a good Rocco we have.

My sister Stacie called me today to tell me how much she loved the bunny ear photos below. I told her I wanted to do some more and she said does he fit in an Easter basket?

Well the answer is yes, kind of.

Thanks Aunt Stacie.

First Easter

Rocco made it big on his first Easter. He got a total of 13 dollar coins in his Easter Basket. This is a new tradition that we will start this year, one of many. The “special eggs” will hold coin treasure in them. Our coins were in the Batman Eggs and Mimi and Pop put theirs in Bunny Eggs. When Rocco is older, I am sure he will try and find these eggs first before the ones that just have yoke in them. These coins will be deposited in his piggy bank that Uncle Tom Kouretas gave him. Did I mention that it’s Pink. Yes, Rocco your crazy Uncle Tom got you that.

We went to Charlie’s house (see picture below) who is Pop’s cousin in sunny Capitola. It was a beautiful day with family and eggs for our first Easter with Rocco.

Can I Get a Side of Peanut Butter With Those Thighs

I was going to post these two pictures to show the progression of Rocco growing. It was on my list to do and I just got an email from Great Nana commenting on Rocco’s nice Thunder Thighs. So now I am getting around to showing everyone the goods, I mean these nice handsome thighs.

In the first picture (3/11/09) he weights around 10 pounds and in the second (4/8/09) he weights around 14 pounds.

Since I see this handsome boy everyday, I don’t realize just how big he is getting. But when I look at the new picture on the right, I think to myself, “Wow, he is really big. And he does still fit the name Long Legs Milazzo.”

Rocco Goes to Texas

Rocco went on his first plane ride last weekend. We went to Texas to see my side of the family. He was wonderful on the plane. Maybe cried all together 2 minutes and slept the rest of the time. He was a great traveler.

The visit was a success. Although the one thing missing was Faith, she had to start her new job that weekend. I put together my first video with some pictures and video from the trip.

After we told Aunt Stacie to talk a bit softer, Rocco settled right in. :)
