Grandma Sport'N Rocco

Grandma came to see Rocco this last weekend. We had a really nice visit. We went to Toys-R-Us and got Rocco this very cool ball machine that throws the balls in the air and drops them down a slide into the bottom. But Rocco didn’t think it was all that cool. He was actually scared of it. We got a few laughs at turning it on to see if just maybe he would like it yet, but overall it is still not cool. He likes it when it is turned off, just not when it is on.

Thanks for teaching me to stay strong, follow your dreams and learn to live outside of our little boxes we sometimes build. Who would have thought, my mom walking the streets of NY at 2:00 am after a long day in the air. You go Mom!




My mom also watched Rocco for us on Saturday night so we could join some friends at the Italian festival in Willow Glen. This was our third night out on the town since Rocco was born, so we couldn’t pass up the offer. Thanks Mom! I love you and I am very thankful for all you do for us.

In The Yard - Photo Shoot


Took these pictures while we were waiting for Jared to get home from work. Max loves to wait for Jared to come home. All I have to say is "Want to wait for Daddy" and he goes outside to wait for him.

Rocco thinks Max is really funny. He is always laughing at him. But Max doesn't give Rocco the time of day. I am sure this will change when Rocco is old enough to take him on walks.

Tonight At The Milazzo's


Tonight we played cars. We drove them around on the town carpet in Rocco’s room. Rocco wanted to grab all the cars as they drove by and eat them.

Rocco is making lots of new sounds. I think we can say his official first word is Dada. He says it all the time and Jared loves it! I am right behind with teaching him Mama.

Uncle Stephen Sport'N Rocco


My brother Stephen called on Saturday to say he was in town. He came down with Dani for her graduation party. It was a short visit but was great to see him. They all said they could tell I was Stephen sister. Uncle Stephen also got to get a Rocco button.

Rocco Supports RS2


We went to Campbell's Artwalk on Friday night. It has music groups and artist up and down the streets of downtown Campbell. Our friends from RS2, Ray and Uncle Brian were playing. So we got some dinner and enjoyed the warm night with some great music and friends. Rocco even got a special solo performance!

Spike Support'N Rocco

Rocco's First Birthday Party

Rocco went to his first birthday party today for Mason who turned one. We had a great time and even scored a goodie bag with lots of cool treats for me. (Me=Mom)

Makes me think Rocco's birthday is not that far away. Need to start thinking about the cake that I will make for his birthday or better yet, get some practice cakes under my belt.

Rocco went to the doctors for his 6 month check-up on Friday. He got a total of 4 shots in the legs, but that didn't stop him from going to the birthday party today. He weights 20 pounds and 12 oz and is 29 1/8 inches long.

Sunday Fun

Today was a great family day. We all had breakfast at the table together, walked the dog, went to the Campbell farmer's market, went to the park, got in the pool and had dinner at the table too. Eating at the table all together is kind of hard at this stage. But today was a full family day for sure. Now Rocco is sleeping and Jared and I are finally done cleaning, folding laundry and packing things for tomorrow. Gosh, days are busy - not like they used to be.

But I wouldn't change a thing.

As I was putting Rocco down for bed, I can tell he is getting very used to daddy's way of getting to sleep, snuggling on the bed together. I love this way too, but I know it is not a good habit to start. So I wanted to get him down in his crib. So he tossed and turned for about 20 minutes. I could tell he wanted my face right next to his. So I picked him up for a quick snuggle and was going to put him right back down. Right when I picked him up, he put his head on my shoulder, then quickly grabbed my face with two hands and gave me a big kiss and put his head back down. I told him I loved him so much and thank you for the kiss. I knew he just wanted our faces to be right next to each other. Then down in the crib he went, sleeping like a beautiful baby. What a great end to a great day.

The Final Meeting

Rocco has now met all his grandparents. My dad came to town this weekend to meet Rocco live and in person. We have done Skype web calls before, but nothing beats seeing the person – in person.

Rocco had a great time with Grandpa. They snuggled, went on a walk, sang some songs and got some good kisses in. Thanks for driving up to see us Dad! We love you and we had a great time. Don't forget to wear your button.











Brush Your Tooth


Rocco got his first tooth on August 7th. It is hard to get a picture of it, but I am trying. Stay tuned.

He has been a bit fussy but not to bad. I can tell that his teeth or tooth bothered him last night. I ended up giving him some Tylenol to feel better and help him sleep. He just wants to put everything in his mouth. But he doesn’t like the taste of the teething medicine. And once again, I don’t blame him it smells gross.

Chicken and Raviolis


I thought this dinner might look better than it was going to taste since I just put it together as I went along. But in the end....

I cooked chicken in the oven and towards the end put some spicy chili bean sauce on it. The raviolis are artichoke filled and I used a little olive oil, balsamic, pepper and feta cheese over the top. I also put some yummy peas over it. And to top it off some dinner rolls that needed to be used up. Everything ended up tasting rather yummy. I even had leftovers for lunch today.

6 Months Old

Rocco is 6 months old today and is truly the sunshine in our lives. He is getting so big on us. Saturday night he slept from 7:30 till 6:00 am in the morning. When he woke up, he looked so big to me. I asked him if the slept so well because he was growing during the night. I brought him in our bed and we snuggled and fell back to sleep until 8:30. I was tired because although Rocco slept through the night, I kept getting up to check on him because it had been a while since he slept through the night like this.

My Rocco Jay...

~ Loves to stand strong and tall on my chest as we walk around singing “I’m a big boy yeah” then he looks down at me with a big smile and leans down for a kiss and laughs.

~ Rolls around and around in all directions. Just started to roll in the bath now too! Watch that head in the water.

~ Loves to sleep on his side with his arm covering his eyes and his feet against the side of the crib.

~ Loves to eat squash, sweet peas, avocado and pears.

~ Likes to watch Daktari and Lander’s tail as they walk by.

~ Is a big talker. Loves to babble and screech really loud, yet also has the cutest soft voice.

~ I can pull him up by his hands while he is lying down to a standing position. He thinks this is so cool and gives the biggest smile and stands really strong and tall.

~ Wants to touch everything. – I think Jared and I just had our last dinner out with Rocco as of last night. It is too much work entertaining him, picking things off the ground, moving everything out of his way, holding him and trying to eat as fast as you can so you can get out of there.

I love my Rocco! Thanks for making me smile everyday!
