Discovery Bay

We went to Discovery Bay with the Leckrone's for the weekend. The boys had a great time playing, fishing and paddle boating. It was the night of the Ring of Fire eclipse and Kathi,Kiril and I went on a night time paddle ride. We had such a great time. We did a boat ride and went under a train bridge just as a train was coming down the track. The smiles on the kids was priceless.

The Milazzo's are early birds so while Daddy fished, Rocco and I took a nice long paddle ride together. The early bird gets the worm!

My Mother is a wonderful mother.

What do I remember? She was always there. Close by and available. Caring and a wonderful provider of what matters. A true women of style. With her pink swede knee high boots on country dancing night.  Her beautiful rings that I would admire during church and how she would rub my head during sacrament. Dinner around the table always cooked by her. Never hearing her swear or yell or have a drink. The sexy pictures my dad had of her on the bed stand. Taking step classes at the gym with her for my first time. My mom water skies. My mom swims. My mom bikes. Geese in the kitchen. Her soft caring voice of guidance and wisdom. Being a cookie at girls camp. Books by the bedside. All my birthday cakes handmade as well as many dresses. My mom ROCKS!

All Play And A Little Work

I brought Rocco to work with me while the office was slow and most co-workers were traveling at a user conference. He was really excited for this day. We started the day with oatmeal in the big conference room. Rocco showed a few co-workers his train games on the iPad.  He went through my desk and found my pedometer which we added to his hip along with his card key.  He really enjoyed unlocking all the doors with his card key. We then had some hot chocolate and explored the office.

At lunch time we walked to the light rail station and took the light rail to a Vietnamese place. I had never been there before, nor do I eat Vietnamese often, I just thought Rocco would like the noodles and I was right.

We took the train back to work and enjoyed the short walk with a stick and great conversation. The day ended early for me and Rocco feel asleep on the way home and I transferred him down for a good nap and got some more work in.

I asked him later that night what his favorite part of the day was, he said the hot chocolate.

First Official Play Date - At Our House

Rocco had Allison over for our first official play date at the Milazzo's. We had a great time riding bikes, playing Candy Land and playing in the water. Rocco even got Allison to play with Trains! He was a wonderful host and shared his new bike with Allison. I love how comfortable Allison was with Jared and I. She see's both of us 5 days a week and you can really tell she knows both us of well.

Rocco got his first official peddle bike. He has done an awesome job with the push bike and want to get him started on a peddle bike. Plus he is getting so close to out growing his current bike. He is learning about a foot break, steering a bigger bike and peddling. He is doing a great job!

Dirt Soup for Dad

Rocco made Dad some wonderful, yummy and gritty dirt soup for when he got home from work.

Thank you Max for letting us use your water dish for dinner.

Neighborhood Frogs

One day we were flying the owl kite at the field near Oma and Grandpa John's house. A neighborhood girl sat with us to watch. She then ventured off to get some tiny frogs that lived near the drains at Reed School. She came back to show us and Rocco got to hold them.
