More Rain, More Water

One night after dinner it just started to pour down rain. Rocco first started on the porch holding out an orange bucket to fill with rain water. Then he started to get a little wet. His smile and happiness playing in the rain was nothing a few wet clothes was going to stop.

Then Dad (Grandpa John, Me and Rocco call him 5-O) came out to keep him dry. He put on his green rain jacket and boy did the water go everywhere after that. Rocco had a blast standing right under the water. He mentioned as he watered the plants with his bucket of water, that he was having fun in the rain. I too was having fun watching him be a kid and empty out his boot filled with water.

Sprinklers!

A nice late April weekend day filled with sun, sprinklers and BBQ. I love to join in with Rocco on the cold water runs through the sprinklers. Dad, not so much.

Wait, Another Water Fight?

Yes, just another day. We love playing outside in the yard.

I'm Going To Get You Wet

Rocco and I had a water fight the other day. I ran around the yard a couple of times and then I hid inside waiting for him to find me behind the glass door. (I knew I was going to let him get everything wet) He looked and me and then I said, "Go ahead and try and get me wet!" He loved it and squirted the glass with a big smile. He filled up a couple of times and always returned with a big smile. It was a fun day after work and school.

Loch Lomond

We had a beautiful Saturday morning on April 14th and we were trying to figure out what we wanted to do for the day. Fishing at Loch Lomond had come up a couple of times but Jared wasn’t sure we would get out early enough to get a boat. So we went back and forth on ideas and I said, “We are going fishing, pack up and hit the road.” Rocco and I had never been to Loch Lomond before. I have heard about it from Jared many times as John would take Jared there a when he was young. The lake is located in Felton, CA. You drive up this small windy road filled with houses all the way to the top. Then it just turns into the park/lake. I couldn’t believe this beautiful lake is located at the top of this hill.

The lake was empty and we only saw about 4 other boats out there. We had a great time boating across the lake and take little fishing breaks. Rocco used a real hook on his fishing pole for the first time. Dad was on the lookout at every cast because he didn’t want to get hooked. We laughed a couple of times because it was such a classic moment. Rocco did a great job driving the boat and really enjoyed leaning over the side to touch the water. We didn’t catch any fish (again) but don’t worry we will Fish On! Here fishy fishy, I have a worm for you.

New Board

Rocco got his first real skateboard from Dad last month. He just thought it was so cool that now he has one like Dad's. So of course they set out for their first session in the court. And yes, all the animals love to come out and watch.

Needs A Little Water

Here is Rocco watering the few items left from last year's garden. We did not do a garden this year, because we don't know where the house cards will land. But this boy lands right in my heart! Love my helper.
