First and last day of Kindergarten!

Kindergarten Graduation

Well it happened. Kindergarten came and went just like that. It was a great year for Rocco. He had a wonderful teacher and met some great friends. He lost tons of teeth and grew an inch or two. He really enjoyed having the older neighbor boys at school to learn the ropes. He is confident, kind and smart. I know this to be true because the teacher said it too!

Yep, he is my kid. I just love how entertaining kids are. Any time, place and prop. Is he eating Oreos in the morning?

Back to School Night

It was back to school night at Soquel elementary.  I love being in his classroom and see his art on the wall. Below is a flowers in vase, a picture and story " I went to a camp site and I slept at my mimi's house," his self portrait from the beginning on kindergarden (not sure where the black hair comes from) and Rocco and his teacher Mr. Pereira. He really enjoyed her and her class. It always feels good when the teacher likes your child and vise versa.

Kind of Loved

Rocco loves to get kisses after his shower, after his meals, after the ocean, after the spa. Just about anytime he can, he goes in for kisses. We always say Wednesday is a good mom. She loves to kiss him off to school too.

Uncle Marcus's House

I love seeing Rocco at Oma's house. (Aka Uncle Marcus's house) Today he was having a BBQ with family and friends. The one thing I love about it is of course family and it is also where Jared swam as a child. Makes my heart warm that we still all get together in the same house. 

15 Year Anniversary

Rocco and Mimi made us dinner for our 15 year anniversary. We came home from work and the table was set and dinner was ready. We even had fun necklaces to wear. It was such wonderful idea and we loved it.

We even got to use the special plate because well, we are special. We have lots of love for each other. That doesn't mean that it has always been smooth sailing. We haven't fought like cats and dogs, we have hurt feelings and we have not always given our best. But we are in it till the end. We do love each other and that is how we have made it this long. 15 years married, 23 together.
