Check Out This Salmon Baby

The salmon were in full effect for a few months at the harbor. They even split the days so kids had a chance. On the odd number in the month, only kids could fish. Well Jared and Rocco went down just before it ended and boy did they sure score. Check out this beauty.

Rocco's hair looks grey in these pictures, but it is blue from crazy hair day at school. Fish on boys!

You Can Ride

Rocco helped his friend Aiden across the street learn to ride his bike. Rocco helped encourage him by giving him some good pointers on starting and stopping. It was just the right thing he needed to finish off learning. Now it is one of the number one thing the boys do while playing outside. So glad Rocco has some nice boys in the neighborhood to play with.

Learning with Dad About Animals

We got some free animal fact sheets in the mail. Rocco loves to pull out any toy that has to do with the same subject we are reading about. Since this was about animals, the leopard shark water toy came to listen.

One thing I love about Jared is his ability to remember things he just read. Rocco has that same ability. It catches me off guard sometime and makes me think, gosh mom just keep up on all this reading, letter and numbers stuff because he is a mega sponge.

A Whale of A Time

During Grandma's last stay we met Auntie at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. What a great place to learn and inspire everyone to keep our oceans clean. Rocco loves all the little stations that are hands-on. Any nob or wheel that can be turned, he is there.

It was also Auntie's (41st) birthday so of course she got breakfast on the special plate. We took Spike to the beach for some swimming and Rocco couldn't resist not going in with him. Too bad mom forgot the wetsuit, but that didn't stop him from braving the cold water. Later in the day we went sailing to finish off our ocean filled weekend. It was a great family weekend.

Planes

Rocco at this second movie with Grandma. We saw planes. She wanted to see this with him since it featured an American Airlines plane. We love our hard working Grandma. A true inspriation to try new things, step out of our boxes and be the best person we can.

First day of Second Year of Preschool

Rocco started his second year of preschool at Opal Cliffs Children Center. His favorite teacher once again is teacher Jane and Chandra.  They take such good care of him. Teacher Jane says when she has a grandchild she wants him to be just like Rocco.

This years picture doesn't have any tears, only a smile and confidence. I always thought that before we  knew it he would be starting kindergarden. Well, the next time I post about first day of school, it will be here. Taking in all these moments and loving every minute of it.

Great Nana, Mimi and Grandma - What A Lucky Boy

Rocco's Great Nana came to visit (Mimi's Mom) and my mom happened to be in town too. So we got together for pizza and some fun with the new puppy Lizzy, busy Lizzy that is.

I just love when family can get together. I have always been close to my family and grandparents and am blessed that Rocco gets to experience this as well. Grandparents are special.

As I typed this title, I just realized I should have been in one of the pictures with all the ladies. Darn, next time.
