Pre-School

Rocco started pre-school on September 4th. This was a big day. Rocco was excited but usually ended the sentence with, "but I'm a little scared." We had two weeks at the new home before schools started. During this time we went to watch the finishing touches to his school. The school was a brand new school and they worked up to the last day getting it ready. They had an open house and we went to both session getting Rocco used to the big new change.

The first day came and so did the tears. He was really scared. He missed Jill and Allison. He tried to be brave, but the tears he couldn't hold back. I stayed around 10 minutes in the morning with him and then left him sitting on the teachers lap getting some special love.  At the time there was only 3 other kids there so it was nice to have some quite time for him to get ready. It was a big change from 2 kids at a house to 17 kids.

I picked him up and he was all smiles. He said he had a great day! The next morning he told Dad that he can't be late for school.

Saturday Morning Fishing

Jared took Rocco down onto the Capitola peir for some Saturday morning fishing. We love that it is just a few minutes walk there. Jared brought his good luck charm, aka Rocco, this time and what happened… they caught a fish.

More Fun In the Water

The Hawkins had us over for a good bye dinner and some fun in the sun. The memories have been wonderful with these two. Allison has been part of Rocco's life ever since he started Jill's. I am thankful for having such a wonderful girl to spend time with my son. She is advanced is certain things beyond Rocco as Rocco is advanced in certain things beyond her. That is what made them such a great team. They were great examples to each other. I will always remember Allison for her strong jumps, outgoing spirit and leadership.

Rocco's Second Room

Rocco loves the spa. It doesn't surprise me much since he is half Shelley. Since his time with the spa he has become more comfortable with being under water. He can hold is breathe around 10 seconds, swims under water from one end to the other and touches the bottom. He loves to jump into the center. I keep telling him he is too big and needs to keep his jumps smaller. I am afraid he is going to hit the step. I enjoy this time with Rocco in the water. He asks with the sweetest voice, "Do you mind if I splash you?' He has learned to ask this before he jumps.

The New 2nd Backyard

Living in one of the most beautiful places on earth is exciting. Blessed in many ways.

Moving Out of Campbell

Campbell was great to us. We had wonderful neighbors, great house, great yard, made lot of memories there (including Rocco) and raised Rocco there for the first 3 years. I have no complaints. I really enjoyed the quality of life in Campbell.

Before we moved we had to paint Rocco's room back to white. Rocco was a big help and really painted a lot for us. He is such a big helper. Then for the exciting part for Rocco, we drove the O'Neill truck as our moving truck. Rocco got to sit in the front with us over highway 17. He really enjoyed this.

That first night in the house, we went to pleasure pizza and then walked to the beach with flashlights. It was a great end and and great start to a new beginning.
