The Wheels on the Bike Go….

Family bike ride / dog walk around the block. Life is good.

Yep, this is my Rocco always wondering and examining how things work. He spent about 20 mins spinning around the wheel to watch the gears move and the tire spin. I just love this boy.

Rocco Turns 3 - Golden Birthday

Rocco turned 3 on February 3rd. Boy was it a great birthday weekend. The day started out with a decorated doorway for him to run through to kick off the celebration. Then after Jill's Rocco got to open up his special gift from Jill. Boy did she bring the mother load of trains. Rocco was all smiles and was glad that the bag wasn't filled with green socks.

That night Grandpa John came over and celebrated with the three of us. He opened gifts from Jared and I and also the train he wanted from Grandpa. (the ConRail) We then tried to have some of the cake that Dad brought home, but it was a bit too frozen. Plus, I don't think to many 3 years want to have a burnt almond cake. Nice try Jared, but I think I will stick to the birthday cakes. What is even more funny, is that Jared was giving me a hard time with the train cake and said we should just buy one (not burnt almond though) because it would be easier. I asked Rocco what is favorite part of his party was and he said….."the train cake!"

The next day was the big party at Bouncy Land. We 8 kids there and everyone had a great time. Rocco enjoyed running around with all his friends. We then had lunch and sang happy birthday. He was so tried after this that we waited until after nap to open all the gifts from our friends.

The next day Rocco was sitting on the couch with me and turned and said, "that was nice of Mariana and everyone to bring me gifts." If you ask him about it, he would smile at the same time and say he had a great time at his birthday party.

Great Oma Milazzo - 86 Years Young

We went over to Great Oma (Brunie Milazzo) to celebrate her 86th birthday. We sang happy birthday and had some great chocolate cake. Rocco got to blow out Oma's candles and he was so cute signing to her with a big smile. He really loves birthday cake and said about 10 times while he was eating it, "this is good cake."

Happy Birthday Oma. So blessed to have you in our lives and in Rocco's. You are a true survivor and your strength is your hidden power in your tiny frame. Thanks for holding down the Milazzo house and have a great place for us all to get together.

37 - You Are Up

Yep, I hit 37. For the first time when I said my age, yes 37 it felt like..well old. Ok, what it felt was this is really close to 40. I know that is not old, but it just felt for the first time, I am not at all close to my 20's. But I have no complaints. I love it, I love my 30s and look forward to continuing this journey.

My Mom, Stephanie and Austin came to celebrate and it made for a great birthday! Rocco had a great time playing with Auntie and Moose. It was really fun to watch Rocco soak in all the Shelley love.

If I Am Sad Face Enough…Maybe...

Went to take Rocco for a hair cut and he was a little upset that we didn't go to the kids place with a motorcycle he could sit on. Instead we went to Dad's barber shop with Grandpa John. So here are Rocco's extra sad face shots during the hair cut. Yep, that sad face didn't stop the hair cut from happening but we did say next time you can ride the motorcycle. Still no smile.

Train Heads at the Museum

The day started off with lunch with Daddy and a quick visit to the O'Neill headquaters. Rocco just loves visiting Daddy at work. We even called Mimi from the office.

After lunch, Heidi and I took Rocco and Kody to the train museum in Santa Cruz. It was so much for the kids because it was set up at kids height and there was so many hands on things the kids could do to the display. There was about 10 buttons placed on the hand rail that set off horns, moved crossing rails, moved working people and more. There was also around 4 train controls for the kids to start and stop the different trains on the tracks.

After trains we went for a walk to ice cream and found a fire truck and fireman taking a break. The kids had a great time talking with the fireman and also sitting in the truck. The ice cream was from "The Penny Ice Creamery" in Santa Cruz that is homemade at the location. It was really good. A day with friends = great time.

My Friend Allison

Rocco went to Allison's birthday party in December. She turned three years old. It was a pancake breakfast party, so wear your favorite pajamas. Rocco had a great time and Allison kept him very included in everything since they are so used to spending every day together. It was really cute to watch them yell out to each other in the crowd of the other kids.

I love the picture of Rocco and Allison playing with the toy lawn mower. It shows Rocco's natural instinct to try and figure out how everything is working.
