My Milazzo Men

Moving On Up

Rocco is already leaving the nest. Well not the big nest, but the parent room nest. He moved out of our room last night. I am not sure how I feel about this, not sure if I am ready for it. Jared went to put him down last night and surprised me of this new location. I know Rocco is getting too big for his bassinet, but I thought he might be able to spend the rest of the month in it. But Jared is right; he really can’t even stretch out in it. So the first night in the big crib and in his own room was a success. He had a great night sleep, although I think he missed me next to him.

So what to do with the bassinet now? Well, someone has already been using it with Rocco. Jared thinks we are going to keep it as a cat bed. I think my friend Tiffany would have a better use for it.

First Park Day

We took Rocco to Vasona Park on Sunday. This was Rocco’s first visit to a park. He pretty much slept the whole time but he was awake here and there. But the day must have worn him out because he slept 8 hours straight that night. When he finally did wake up to eat, he went back for another 2 hours of sleep. He is really a great sleeper. The other nights he has slept 6 and 7 hours. I am a lucky mom!

Rocking the Generations

Jared used to get rocked in this rocker by his mom. Now Jared and Mimi are rocking Rocco in it. What a lucky boy!

Springfield Chilli

I made this yummy chilli the other night. It has a combo of turkey and beef. It is really easy to make, all in one pot too! It is great for dinner and even better the next day. I used regular ground meat and a pale ale beer. I really haven’t experimented with making different chillis. This was my first chilli recipe and I have made it twice. I will try another version next time.

Got one I can try? Send it to me.
