November 19th - 7 days almost to the hour after loosing Max we lost our 12 year old cat Lander. It was unforeseeable and traggic. He was hit by a car right in front of Rocco and I while we were riding bikes. I grabbed him and yelled to Jared to get in the car right now, it is not good. He died minutes later in the car on the way to the vet.
We got Lander in 2001. We was 12 weeks old and from Petco. He was a silly cat hanging up side down in the turned over bed in the grate. I was there on lunch and saw him. Called Jared and told him we need this cat and we adopted "brownie" the next day. He was a stray little from Morgan Hill.
He was a great cat that really only showed himself to our family. If company was over, he was outside somewhere. He had the quietest meow, two beautiful fang teeth that hung down in the front and white paws. He loved to nudge you right in the face and while sit high on your chest would reach out a paw with all claws expanded.
This accident was really tough on Rocco. He says he misses Minx and Max almost daily. It was really tough on me too. You just wished you could have grabbed him before he ran across the street. The what if's got me for a few days. Loosing two family members so close really... well… sucks!
We buried Lander in our backyard. He is now with Max in heaven.
